NGC 1342      

NGC 1342 is compact, attractive open cluster in the constellation Perseus. It contains around 40 member stars and has a visual diameter of around 17 arc-min. It lies at a distance of 1794 LY. With a visual magnitude of 7.2, it is not generally visible to the naked eye, although it is a good target for binoculars or a small telescope. The brighter members of the cluster are a mixture of blue-white and yellow stars with magnitudes around 8.
