M 36 (NGC 1960)   

M 36 is an open cluster in the constellation Auriga. It lies in the winter Milky Way close to two other notable open clusters, M 37 and M 38. All three of these clusters were discovered in 1654 by Giovanni Batista Hodierna, a Catholic prient living in Sicily. M 36 is around 4300 LY away and contains 178 known stars. At 25 million years, M 36 is a very young open cluster, about the same age as the Pleiades.
